About
I'm Jim Kim. I've spent my career in product and programme roles at Zeta, PayPal, Unilever and Infosys, much of it in payments and fintech.
Money Minus Noise started on LinkedIn as a habit of questioning money advice that gets presented as “obvious”. When I see a viral money headline, I ask three things:
- Who benefits if I act on this advice?
- Does it actually fit me: my income, tax bracket, goals and stage of life?
- What's the strongest argument against it?
Am I always right? No one is. But I'd rather question something and occasionally get it wrong than blindly follow it because it's popular.
This site collects everything I've written in one place, sorted by topic, so it's easier to find than in a LinkedIn feed.
