With #Holi around the corner, a friend shared a vibrant new music video in our WhatsApp group. The song was catchy, and the visuals were stunning - but something felt off!
On a closer look, it seems the whole video was #AI-generated!
The #YouTube comments section looked suspicious too, with similar comments, repetitive praise, and daily engagement from the same accounts. Looks like #bots are boosting engagement to make the video go viral! And this isn’t from a new-age AI startup, it’s a release from #TSeries on their official channel!
What Does This Mean for the Future?
- AI has the power to create full-fledged content and with time, it will only improve
- Identifying real vs AI-generated content is becoming harder
- If misused (#DeepFake), AI could easily fuel misinformation and social rifts
Should AI-generated content come with a #disclaimer or should be left to the viewers to figure out themselves?
