How one small traffic change adds an hour to the commute

How a small #Traffic change increases Commute time disproportionately!
#Whitefield, once a sleepy industrial town, is now an IT powerhouse.
Tech parks, apartments, offices, all booming. But the roads? Still stuck in the past.
And now, a small traffic tweak near Chinnappanahalli railway crossing (#JeevikaHospital) is turning into a daily nightmare.

The Change: Earlier, commuters exiting the railway crossing could merge directly onto ORR after a few meters!
Now? You have to drive all the way to Kalamandir junction to enter ORR, a detour that’s only a few hundred meters longer on paper, but 20+ minutes longer in practice.

Why? No One Knows!

Who's benefiting?
Definitely not the commuters, but the Government is definitely enjoying!
– More fuel burnt → More tax collected - Mileage of my car has come down by 20%
– More wear and tear → More frequent servicing, more GST
– More time wasted → More frustration, Road Rage, Health Issues!

While policymakers talk about #SkyDecks, #TunnelRoads, and futuristic ideas, but they can't solve simple everyday commute problems!

#UrbanPlanning isn't about mega announcements.
It's about getting the basics right, every junction, every exit, every signal.

Have you also faced the burnt of Jeevika Hospital Juntion mess, do share your experience!
