Can Bengaluru real estate crash because of the job market?

Can #Bengaluru's #RealEstate market crash because of the current #Job scenario?
I've been hearing this question more frequently lately.

On paper, Bengaluru Real Estate still looks strong.
New launches continue.
There is no obvious sign of a broad-based price correction yet.

Yet, over the last couple of months, at least 20 people have spoken to me about buying homes.
A common hesitation?
“I'm not sure I want to take on a long-term #loan when I'm not sure what my job looks like a few years from now.”

So which one is right?
I think the answer is more nuanced.
1. Bengaluru's demand isn't driven only by today's salary.
People have also accumulated wealth locally and through onsite assignments. People returning from overseas assignments for multiple reasons, existing homeowners upgrading, and families with significant savings also contribute to demand.

2. Bengaluru's tech economy is changing, not disappearing.
While some traditional #SaaS businesses are under pressure, #AI, semiconductor, and GCC-related sectors are creating new pools of high-income professionals.

3. Most projects are joint developments.
In many cases, #landowners may be willing to hold inventory longer rather than sell at a lower price, reducing the pressure for an immediate headline price correction.

What might change?
Post-Covid, the higher-ticket ₹1.5–2 Cr+ segment boomed.
With the changing job market, developers may increasingly focus on more affordable ticket sizes.

So, will Bengaluru see a crash?
I don't know.
I'd rather watch absorption, inventory, actual transaction prices, affordability, and income growth than predict a crash from a headline.

And one more thing.
Buying a house isn't purely a spreadsheet decision.
People buy security, convenience, belonging, and a place to call home.
The ticket size, location, and financing may change.
The desire to own a home probably won't.
Buying a house is more of an emotional decision rather than a financial one...
