Every few weeks, a post goes viral: “#PaniPuri seller earns more than a #SoftwareEngineer!”

And the #SocialMedia goes: 👉 “Why did I even study?” 😄

Let’s decode this viral math of #Influencers. Claim: ₹3,000 per day income
So influencers calculate: ₹90,000 per month, ₹10.8 Lakhs per year!

Reality check 👇
1️⃣ That’s revenue. Not income.
Raw materials, rent, spoilage, helpers, hafta!!!
Net income is easily less than 50%
2️⃣ Apparently, he works 365 days a year
No sick days
No family visits
No shutdowns
Even startups don’t run like this 😄
3️⃣ Sales are not uniform
Rainy season = near-zero sales
Bad day = business drops
But viral posts assume every day is Diwali
4️⃣ Work conditions matter
Standing 7–8 hours daily
On the roadside, in heat, dust, rain
This isn’t a spreadsheet calculation.
5️⃣ Growth is capped
No clear scale unless you expand (which brings new risks)
No annual appraisals
But hey… “₹3,000 per day” attracts eyeballs!

Here’s a simple test 👇
Next time you feel: “I should quit my job and start this…”
👉 Try it for one full day. You’ll come back loving your 9–5.

Respect every profession. But don’t fall for half-baked comparisons.
