A little friction can save a lot of money
We all want #frictionless #payments.
But sometimes, a little friction can save us a lot of #money.

Recently, a friend wanted to check his final restaurant bill after applying offers on the Swiggy Dineout app.
Instead of reviewing the amount, he accidentally tapped Pay.
The default payment method was Swiggy Money.
The balance was already available.
Within a second, the payment was successful.
By the time he realised what had happened, it was too late.
He immediately contacted customer support.
The response? "Please wait for a few days."
The follow-ups are still going on.
He has almost started treating the amount as "tuition fees" for an expensive lesson. 😄
And he's not alone.
Many of us have:
• Added an extra zero.
• Paid the wrong person.
• Selected the wrong account.
• Tapped Pay a little too quickly.
The problem is that payments have become so frictionless that mistakes become irreversible.
Everyone wants a one-click experience.
But not every payment should be completed in one click.
A biometric/PIN verification for wallet payments.
Or even a 5-second "Undo Payment" option, similar to Gmail's Undo Send, could prevent countless accidental transactions.
Yes, it adds a little friction.
But sometimes, friction is cheaper than regret.
#MoneyMinusNoise.
Convenience is important.
But financial products should optimise not just for speed, but also for human mistakes.
After all, we all have "#FatFinger moments."
Have you ever made an accidental payment?
Were you able to recover the money, or did you end up writing it off as the cost of learning?
