A prominent finfluencer blocked me
I just realized a prominent #finfluencer has blocked me. ๐
#AkshatSrivastava.
I'm not offended.
In fact, I take it as a compliment!
For months, I've been calling out claims that I believed were incomplete, exaggerated, or just designed to maximize engagement.
A few of my comments even went viral.
Best option: delete them!
Even better, block the person!
And that's exactly the problem with a large section of the finfluencer ecosystem.
As long as you agree with them...
You're part of the community.
The moment you ask uncomfortable questions...
You're labelled a hater, your comments disappear, or you're blocked.
Because the business model isn't built on debate.
It's built on attention.
- Hope sells.
- Fear sells.
- FOMO sells.
- Nuance doesn't.
That's precisely why I started #MoneyMinusNoise.
- Not to tell you which stock you should invest in.
- Not to promise you'll become rich.
- Not to sell dreams.
But to ask the questions that often get ignored.
- Is the advice practical?
- Is it factually correct?
- Does it apply to YOU?
- Or is it simply another viral opinion?
I don't mind if people disagree with me.
In fact, I welcome it.
