Analysts' target prices and predicting the future

#Analysts roll out their meticulously crafted target prices for stocks and indices every year, leveraging advanced #StatisticalModels (trend analysis) to predict the #future. These targets often shape the investment decisions of retail investors and fund managers alike.
But reality has a way of humbling even the best models. Take the S&P 500 last year as an example— it beat average analyst targets by a staggering 23%! This is a reminder that markets are unpredictable and irrational at times, no matter how sophisticated the analysis is!

This is why I often advocate for #PassiveFunds over active ones. The odds of #ActiveFunds consistently outperforming passive strategies are slim. Instead of chasing the next big prediction, focus on what truly matters:
- Periodic #AssetAllocation: Align your portfolio with your long-term goals.
- #RiskProfiling: Ensure your investments match your risk appetite.

Yes, this approach to #investing might seem "boring" to some, but success isn't always thrilling. Still, we can’t deny the allure of the adrenaline rush that trading provides. For those seeking excitement, perhaps a small trading amount would help!
