Money Minus Noise

Work, money & life

Could the war bring back work from home?

Could the current #War unexpectedly bring back #WorkFromHome?
Sounds strange, but think about it.
The ongoing #WestAsia conflict is already creating ripple effects in India’s daily life.
A shortage of commercial #LPG cylinders has forced many restaurants and food outlets to shut down or drastically cut their menus.
Even corporate campuses are feeling the impact.
For example, #Infosys has reportedly trimmed menus in its food courts across Bengaluru, Pune, and Chennai due to LPG supply disruptions.
Dosas, omelettes, and several gas-intensive dishes have quietly disappeared from the menu.

Many employees, especially bachelors living in PGs or hostels, depend heavily on:
• office cafeterias
• nearby restaurants
• food delivery platforms
If LPG shortages worsen and food supply around tech parks gets disrupted, offices may face an unexpected operational challenge:
How do employees eat?

The Government has prioritized domestic LPG supply over Commercial use, which means restaurants and canteens are feeling the heat!
If this continues, companies may have to reduce office attendance by offering temporary #WFH!

Sometimes #geopolitics doesn’t just move oil prices or stock markets.
It can quietly influence where we work from.
