Money Minus Noise

The biggest EV salesman in India is the algorithm

The biggest #EV salesman in India today isn't Tata, MG, or Tesla.
It's the #SocialMedia algorithm.
I said this to a friend, and he felt a bit lost!

Think about it. Every viral reel saying:
- My engine is gone.
- #E20 destroyed my mileage
Pushes thousands of fence-sitters one step closer to considering an EV.
Not because EVs suddenly became better.
Because ICE vehicles suddenly look worse!

That's exactly how the attention economy works.
Outrage travels faster than nuance.
#Influencers know it.
Algorithms reward it.

The cost?
The real cost isn't a few minutes spent watching a reel.
It's making expensive decisions based on someone else's content strategy.

Whether E20 is good or bad isn't even the point.
Some users may genuinely face issues. Others may not.
I've noticed my own mileage fluctuates too.
But #Bangalore traffic has worsened.
My office route has changed.
There are simply too many variables to conclude that E20 alone is responsible.

#MoneyMinusNoise.
Every controversy has a winner. Most of the time, it's the creator!
The viewer pays with something far more valuable than a few minutes.
The algorithm rewards engagement.
Your bank account rewards independent thinking!
