The master plan to get rich fast: personal loan into equity
“Bro, I’ve found a Master Plan to become #Rich fast.”
Naturally, I asked him to share the details.
“These days, #PersonalLoans are available at as low interest rates as 10%, opt for it and invest in #Equities.
Making 12-15% return is easy in the market, going aggressive on Mid and small caps can give even more!”
I asked a simple question:
“Have you checked how the markets actually performed last year?”
“No, but they must be well above 10%. This is easy money!”
That’s when I shared the data for the last year:
- #Nifty 50: ~10.5%
- Nifty Next 50: ~2%
- Nifty Midcap 150: ~5%
Suddenly, the confidence disappeared.
And this is before factoring in:
- Capital gains tax
- Loan processing fees
- Insurance charges bundled with personal loans
- Foreclosure and other hidden charges
Once you account for all this, the so-called “#arbitrage” quickly turns negative.
Here’s the part many miss:
#Loan interest is fixed. Market returns are not!
When markets underperform, and they will, the EMI doesn’t pause, doesn’t adjust, and doesn’t care.
There are no free lunches in investing. If making money were this easy, most people wouldn’t be working.
For most normal investors, borrowing to invest doesn’t create wealth; it amplifies #Risk, which most retail investors happily ignore!
Let’s not complicate investing; simple approaches are often more effective than short-term hacks for building long-term #wealth.
