Why no outrage for the Lucknow coaching centre fire?
Why did we not see the same outrage for the #Lucknow coaching center fire?
A few days ago, when a similar tragedy happened in a #Delhi hotel, #SocialMedia was flooded with anger, discussions, and demands for action.

Maybe we have become used to such incidents.
Maybe these tragedies have slowly become a part of life.
Or maybe this topic wasn't as trending as others!
A few days back, it was Delhi.
Now it is Lucknow.
Tomorrow, another tragedy will take its place in some other city!
But the core reason remains the same.
- Illegal construction.
- Rules are being ignored.
- Corruption in enforcement.
Visit almost any city in India.
You will find buildings where rules have been adjusted, extra floors added, spaces squeezed, and safety compromised.
Not because rules don't exist.
But because enforcement is weak.
And the most dangerous stage is not when rules are broken.
It is when people stop noticing that rules are being broken.
A blocked exit.
A narrow staircase.
An illegal floor.
A building violating safety norms.
We see these things every day.
And slowly, our minds start accepting them as normal.
When an accident happens, the script is predictable:
Leaders visit the site.
Condolences are offered.
Compensation is announced.
Officials are suspended.
And after some time…
Everyone moves on.
Real accountability starts with asking:
Who approved it?
Who inspected it?
Who ignored the violations?
Who benefited from looking away?
Identifying and sending all of them to Jail, set an example!
The uncomfortable truth is that illegal construction survives because everyone in the ecosystem gains, until someone pays the Ultimate price!
And here comes the part we don't like admitting.
The problem is not only "the system".
We are also part of this ecosystem!
Many of us, given the opportunity, would also try to maximise every inch of land, add another floor, or ignore a rule if it increased our returns.
Because somewhere along the way, we started believing:
More space. More money.
More profit. At any cost.
Maybe the real issue is not just #corruption.
Maybe it is a culture where greed keeps winning over responsibility.
Until that changes, tragedies will keep repeating.
The biggest danger is not a broken rule.
It is a society that stops being shocked when rules are broken!
